A positive turn in my life...
In 2016, I graduated as a Holistic Health Coach at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition® (the world's leading school of holistic nutrition), after overcoming a disease that was classified as chronic, which actually ended up positively changing my way of living, thinking, moving, eating, being and experiencing life forever. That's how I started my path to self-care and I haven't looked back. Now I feel more connected and my life is more magical than ever.
What I learned transformed my life
Every cloud has a silver lining. The disease taught me to take better care of my mind, body, and spirit, and now I can help my clients do the same. I was born-and-raised in Barcelona, Spain until I was 12 years old. I then lived and traveled in many parts of the world, so I chose to pursue an international career in the corporate world. I ended up in leadership positions, so I set my goals higher and higher. I surpassed myself by giving my best at every moment... but I was going at a fast pace, and I demanded too much of myself, forgetting my health and well-being. That was not the way I wanted to live.
My wake-up call inspired me to take better care of myself
When you have little time and a lot to do, you have the risk of getting sick. That is what I experienced, and I discovered that the worst is not multitasking itself, but the feeling of doing and doing and never feeling enough, because the problem is not outside, but inside, in feeling that nothing is ever enough, not even yourself. The problem is setting personal, professional and social ideals that, rather than guide you as would be desirable, unconsciously you "embed" them in your own personality, acting as a buffer, hiding emotions or other aspects of yourself that you don't want to know about. It taught me how to listen to my inner guide. I took responsibility for my health by learning to listen and nurture, not only my body, but also my mind and soul.
I discovered that my passion is to help other women to prosper
My life was taking shape and taking meaning. I saw that I could help others with my experience, so I left my previous career and did yoga teacher training at Golden Bridge School in Los Angeles (I lived there at the time). After that, I certified as a Holistic Health Coach at IIN. Nutrition is one of the main fuels for you to feel better (it helped me a lot), and it can be the medicine for many chronic diseases. But other factors must also be taken into account, such as relationships with other people, professional career, connection with oneself, physical exercise... that is why I decided to study at IIN, in order to learn to integrate all aspects and know how to better help my clients.
Then, joining all the pieces of the puzzle with what I learned and lived
